Best airport in Europe: This airport is the most passenger-friendly

In order to find out which airport is the most passenger-friendly, the travel platform "Omio" examined a total of 30 capital city airports in Europe. The experts compared certain equipment features and awarded points – for example, whether there were enough showers, quiet areas, charging stations and lounges. But other points also played a role: the journey to the airport, the comfort and the punctuality of the flights.

In addition, "Omio" assessed the number and quality of the leisure facilities on offer, i.e. which shops, restaurants and children's playgrounds there are. The best airport scored 100 out of 100 points, the worst 0.

Europe's most passenger-friendly airport: Madrid (MAD)

The international one cut the best Madrid Barajas Airport (MAD) with 100 points. It "not only has all the examined equipment features, from relaxation areas to showers to children's playgrounds, but also a wide range of shops and restaurants," writes the travel portal. 133 shops and 54 restaurants and bars would be available to passengers in Madrid.
