The best camera is the one you carry with you – and these days that’s usually the camera in our cell phone. But only a few cell phone cameras deliver really good results even in demanding situations. One of these exceptions is the Huawei P60 Pro, which we currently rank as one of the best camera phones in our comparison of the top smartphones in 2023. You can get it cheaper at Media Markt for Black Friday.

MediaMarkt is currently offering the Huawei P60 Pro with 256 gigabytes of memory for 829 euros. At other retailers you will pay at least 100 to 150 euros more for this storage variant.

At Media Markt and Co. you can get the Huawei P60 Pro with only 256 gigabytes of storage space. If the hard drive is too small for your requirements, you can also get the smartphone with 512 gigabytes of memory in Huawei’s online shop. But the cell phone is also a bit more expensive. However, if you sign up for the Huawei newsletter, you can reduce the price by five percent.

By the way, we are not alone with our opinion on camera quality. With 156 points, it leads the ranking of “cell phones with the best camera” by the renowned photography laboratory DxOMark. The iPhone 15 Pro Max, for example, follows in second place with 154 points.

For taking photos and videos, the Huawei P60 Pro is equipped with a triple camera, consisting of a 48-megapixel main sensor with variable physical aperture, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 48-megapixel telephoto camera. The latter is also ideal for macro photography. During our test of the Huawei P60 Pro, we took a few pictures with the camera so that you can see the quality for yourself first hand.

Although the Huawei P60 Pro also has a lot to offer apart from the camera, we still recommend it primarily to those of you who value a good camera on their cell phone and who see themselves as experienced users. Because of US sanctions, you have to do without 5G support on this device, and the Google Play Store is also missing. However, many apps can still be made to run on the P60 Pro via detours.

Honor Magic 5 Pro as an alternative

If you don’t want to do without 5G and Google apps, but are still looking for a smartphone with a good camera for under 1,000 euros, you should take a look at Honor’s Black Friday sale. Here you can get the Honor Magic 5 Pro for just 750.99 euros. In DxOMark, the cell phone performs similarly well to the P60 Pro.
