Better schedules, holidays, crèches: the sectors in tension are firing on all cylinders

Road transport companies have been struggling to recruit for several years. But the rise of e-commerce, by increasing transport needs, has made the shortage more acute. Today, companies in the sector are looking for between 40,000 and 50,000 truck drivers. Aware of the problem, professional organizations and trade unions have taken advantage of the mandatory annual negotiations (NAO) to grant a certain number of advantages to employees.

Some are of a salary nature, such as an increase in the conventional branch minima of 6%, in two stages. Others are broader, with in particular two days of leave for hospitalized sick children, a reduction in waiting days in the event of hospitalization or a framework agreement for employee savings. Last point: negotiations will open to clarify the exact work of the drivers in the loading and unloading phase of the vehicles.
