Samsung is now increasingly relying on artificial intelligence (AI) for its own smart home devices, albeit primarily in the high-price segment. Now the South Korean company has introduced a new vacuum robot with integrated AI. Samsung reveals in an official press release what the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo can do.
The AI-powered vacuum and mopping robot relies on a steam cleaning function and, like almost all premium vacuum robots, has object recognition using a 3D sensor. A special feature compared to other manufacturers is that the object recognition is AI-based.
The device should be able to accurately detect, determine and avoid obstacles. The predecessor of the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo, the already available Bespoke Jet Bot AI+, also uses this feature.
Bespoke Jet Bot Combo: New, smart AI functions
An improvement compared to its predecessor: The Bespoke Jet Bot Combo should also easily detect gaps and stains. If the model detects a stubborn stain, the robot vacuum automatically returns to the station, moistens the wipers and heats them for effective steam cleaning, promises Samsung. There is talk of autonomous cleaning, where you as a user have to set up and configure significantly less yourself.
The automatic creation of “no-go zones” also plays a role here. The AI-powered home helper suggests certain areas of your home as clean-free zones, such as the porch. Furthermore, the AI should be able to distinguish between different types of soil. It then adapts the suction power and mop pad position to the corresponding floor type. But it has to be said that other vacuum robots without AI can already do this.

Other features of the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo include a three-stage overall cleaning system for the mopping pads in the station, including automatic drying, as well as mops that are designed to remove even stubborn dirt at 170 revolutions per minute.
Big presentation at CES 2024
You can try out the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo at the CES 2024 technology trade fair in Las Vegas, which opens its doors from January 9th to 12th, 2024. However, Samsung notes that the model is still in development and individual functions may change before release.
