A new mission, 30 years later

We left the character of Axel Foley in 1994, with a Beverly Hills Cop 3 far from convincing. Thirty years later, the lieutenant returns to the streets of Beverly Hills, while his daughter’s life is threatened. He will have to team up with old and new partners to derail a dangerous plot.

In the pipeline for several years, this fourth opus of the film series Beverly Hills Cop uses the recipe that worked so well for the reboot of Bad Boys 3one of the hits of 2020 with more than $426 million raised worldwide.

A welcome update for the famous franchise of the 80s. Released in 1984, Beverly Hills Cop had been a critical and public success, collecting 316 million for a modest budget of 15 million, while making Eddie Murphy an essential star.

Its sequels, released in 1987 and 1994, did not enjoy the same success, grossing $276 and $119 million worldwide, respectively.

Beverly Hills Cop: Alex F. is directed by an illustrious unknown, Mark Molloy, director of advertisements for Nissan and Apple, and written by the Will Beall trio (Aquaman) / Tom Gormican (Ghosted) and Kevin Etten (A talent made of solid gold).

In addition to the return of Eddie Murphy in the title role, fans will be able to enjoy the comeback of Paul Reiser, Judge Reinhold and John Ahston to the cast, as well as the addition of Kevin Bacon and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
