“Beverly Hills” star is getting divorced after 11 years of marriage

Actress Shannen Doherty has apparently filed for divorce after eleven years. It would be the “Beverly Hills” star’s third marriage.
After eleven years of marriage, actress Shannen Doherty (52) and photographer Kurt Iswarienko are getting divorced. This is reported by the US site “TMZ” and relies on existing court documents. Accordingly, it was the “Beverly Hills: 90210” star who filed for divorce last Friday (April 21) in Los Angeles.
According to the report, the documents state that the two have been separated since January of this year. A rep for the actress is quoted as saying, “Divorce was the last thing Shannen wanted. Unfortunately, she felt she was given no other choice.” The exact reasons for the divorce, which Hollywood couples usually refer to as “irreconcilable differences”, are not clear from the documents.
Previous marriages only lasted a year
Doherty and Iswarienko got married in October 2011, for the actress it was already the third. Before that, she was only married to Ashley Hamilton (1993-1994) and Rick Salomon (2002-2003) for about a year each.
For Doherty, the marriage-off is another heavy blow of fate. The actress announced in 2020that her cancer, which she seemed to have overcome in 2017, had returned. Worse still, she is now in the fourth stage, so the breast cancer has spread and a cure is therefore considered very unlikely.
