Two arrests were made after the violent conflict on the street in which “Beverly Hills” star Ian Ziering was attacked.

Around five months after a violent confrontation on the street involving “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Ian Ziering (60), According to “CBS News” and other US media, there were two arrests. Last Tuesday (May 21st), a 20-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, both residents of the state of California, were taken into custody on a warrant. The bail was set at $50,000 and $30,000 respectively.

The arrests were made possible by the extensive video footage of the incident on New Year’s Eve 2023. Numerous passers-by filmed the fight with their cell phone cameras. According to the report, the officers will now pass the case on to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in a timely manner. Possible charges range from aggravated vandalism to assault with a deadly weapon.

What happened on the last day of 2023?

On December 31st of last year, Ziering was driving through Los Angeles in his car in the presence of his twelve-year-old daughter Mia. A group of people on minibikes changed lanes in front of Ziering – one of the drivers is said to have touched his car. The actor then got out of his car and gave the minibike driver a shove, as video recordings of the incident show. Ziering was then attacked by several members of the group, and the 60-year-old was hit on the body and head.

Shortly afterwards, Ziering described his view of the dispute in a statement on his official Instagram account. “Yesterday I experienced an alarming incident involving a group of people on minibikes. While stuck in traffic, my car was aggressively hit by one of these drivers, leading to a disturbing confrontation. To assess the damage, I got out of my car. This Action unfortunately escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated for my own protection.”

In his Instagram post Ziering is “relieved” that both he and his daughter Mia were uninjured in the incident. He nevertheless called on law enforcement in his hometown of Los Angeles to “take decisive action against this lawlessness” so that “our streets are safe for everyone.” His demand has now apparently been heard.

But the other side also spoke up in the meantime. Two members of the minibike group were anonymous at the beginning of January spoke to TMZ and Ziering were blamed for the escalation. Both stated that there had been “no physical or verbal altercations” between the group and Ziering prior to the altercation.
