beware, a price increase is coming

A price increase on fixed and mobile Orange plans awaits certain subscribers. It would be limited to a maximum of two euros.

Orange is preparing to increase its prices for some of its subscribers. The Internet Service Provider (ISP) sent an email to some of its subscribers, including a reader of the site alloforfait, they say. Fixed and mobile subscriptions would be affected.

Fortunately, it would be “only” an increase of 1 to 2 euros per month. In the case of the reader quoted in the article, user of a 2h package, the increase is 1 euro, but the site advances that in the case of an Open package for example, it can amount to 2 euros. This increase will take place from March 2023 and it will open your right to request another offer or to terminate, within 4 months after receipt of the email, further specifies alloforfait.

Why this increase?

In the email sent to its subscribers, Orange specifies the reason for this increase. The operator would face “to a significant increase in its operating costs, in particular the energy that powers its mobile and internet networks”. Orange further specifies that all subscribers would not be affected, moreover. We also don’t know if Sosh is affected.

If you haven’t received anything in your inbox, don’t rejoice too soon. The email announcing the increase should align with the renewal date of your subscription. It may be worth keeping an eye on your emails as that day approaches. It should be noted that several Orange subscribers in the editorial staff had not received anything at the time of writing this article.
