Beyond Good and Evil 2: Emile Morel, creative director of the game, has left us

Since the time that fans have been waiting Beyond Good and Evil 2the bad news on the development accumulates, but it was quite impossible to expect the dramatic information of today: Emile Morel, the game’s senior creative director, left us this week.

Aged only 40, Emile Morel had joined Ubisoft in 2009 to work on The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn And Rayman Legendshe who had already been senior game designer on Alone in the Dark And Drive Unlimited 2 Review at the house of Eden Games previously. Since the start of the year, Emile Morel has held the position of senior creative director on Beyond Good and Evil 2replacing Jean-Marc Geffroy after many setbacks internally at Ubisoft Montpellier.

The French studio has not yet commented on this tragic and sudden disappearance, but on LinkedIn and other social networks, colleagues and friends of Emile Morel pay him a last tribute. Our thoughts obviously go out to his family and friends.
