If Beyond Good & Evil 2 has completely disappeared from the radar after having been highlighted for a time by Ubisoft, the first episode will return on the occasion of its 20th anniversary (admittedly more than 7 months late). Obviously, the publisher had to react, announcing that the official release was planned for early 2024. Since then, nothing except for a listing in South Korea with an incorrect title… until this Tuesday. So it’s next week, on Tuesday, June 25, that we will finally be able to discover what Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition offers on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Nothing unexpected, since the already existing version has been delisted of the different platforms (Steam And Xbox) for a few days and is currently only available in theUbisoft Store at €4.99.
In terms of new features, this anniversary version will offer 4K and 60 fps on compatible platforms, improved controls, a re-orchestrated soundtracka feature of automatic backup as well as cross-save to play wherever we want. New rewards will be included during our exploration of the planet Hillysas well asa treasure hunt that will teach us more about the past of Jade. A way speedrunof the Success / Trophies and secrets in the gallery also await us. In short, fans of the original will have many reasons to fall in love while new players will be able to discover this production in optimal conditions.
