Biathlon European Championships – Andexer runs into the top ten in the pursuit

After finishing 13th in the sprint at the European Biathlon Championships in Osrblje (Slovakia), Anna Andexer improved to a strong ninth place in the pursuit. The chef Lea Rothschopf also made a small leap forward.

On her 21st birthday, Anna Andexer delivered a tremendous performance in the sprint at the European Biathlon Championships in Osrblje. The athlete from SK Saalfelden ended up in 13th place. A day later she upped the ante in her pursuit. Andexer finished ninth and thus into the top ten. Two errors on the shooting range prevented a better result and resulted in a gap of 1:10.5 to winner Maren Kirkeeide from Norway. Behind Andexer, Lea Rothschopf also had a lot to celebrate. Despite three mistakes, the Kuchler woman improved from 18th to 16th place. Carinthia’s Dunja Zdouc made a big jump from 40th to 17th place. Kristina Oberthaler was 21st. Lara Wagner was 30th. Julia Schwaiger improved by one place and was ultimately ranked 36th. In the men’s category, Fredrik Mühlbacher was the second best Austrian in 47th place. Magnus Oberhauser ended up in 40th place.
