  • With the Norwegians’ dominant relay victory, the Swiss men’s quartet finished in an impressive 7th place in Hochfilzen.
  • The women start their relay race at 2:15 p.m.

The Swiss men achieved 7th place in the relay in Hochfilzen (AUT), as they did at the season opener in Östersund (SWE). The race got off to an unfortunate start from a Swiss perspective, as starting runner Sebastian Stalder fell on the first lap. Nevertheless, the Zurich Oberlander handed over third place to Joscha Burkhalter. He lost 5 positions before Jeremy Finello handed over to Gion Stalder in 7th place despite 5 spares.

Sebastian Stalder’s younger brother did well in his season premiere, had no penalties and crossed the finish line in seventh place. Gion Stalder traveled to Hochfilzen so that Switzerland could provide a squadron after Niklas Hartweg was out.

The Norwegians secured the day’s victory in a superior manner – ahead of France and Germany. The podium is therefore identical to the one in Östersund.
