The Norwegian Tiril Eckhoff, already victorious in the sprint the day before, achieved the double in Oslo by winning at the end of the chase on Saturday, ahead of her compatriot Marte Olsbu Roeiseland, who won the big crystal globe for the last stage of the Biathlon World Cup.
Anaïs Chevalier-Bouchet, fifth in the sprint on Friday 40 seconds behind Eckhoff, this time finished at the foot of the podium, 59 seconds away, despite a 19/20 on the shooting range.
Both Eckhoff and Olsbu Roeiseland committed two shooting errors. Starting with a lead of ten seconds over her compatriot and once again faster on skis, Eckhoff finally beat her by almost 25 seconds after ten kilometers of pursuit.
Author of a 20/20, the Slovak Paulina Fialkova completes the podium (+50.5).
Before the last race of the season, a mass start on Sunday, Olsbu Roeiseland definitely got her hands on the big crystal globe, for the first time in her career, at 31 years old. Her closest pursuer in the general classification, Sweden’s Elvira Oeberg (8th Saturday, +1:29.7, 2 faults), can no longer catch up with her.
