(Boursier.com) — US President Joe Biden has signed an executive order aimed at boosting US biotechnology and biomanufacturing innovation. According to the executive order, one of the goals of the Biden administration is to expand national capacity for biomanufacturing of products spanning the health, energy, agriculture and industrial sectors, and to identify actions to mitigate the risks posed by the involvement of foreign adversaries in the biomanufacturing supply chain and to improve biosafety, biosecurity and cybersecurity in new and existing infrastructure.
