After four years, normal people are moving into the “Big Brother” house again. But the charisma is different than usual.

The eleventh season of “Celebrity Big Brother” comes to an end this Monday – but fans of the reality classic don’t have to wait long until it continues. A new edition of “Big Brother” will start in spring 2024. This time, however, not with celebrities, but, like when the format started in 2000, with normal people. This was given by the “Celebrity Big Brother” broadcaster Sat.1 known.

The new season of “Big Brother” is not running on free TV, but only on Joyn. The streaming provider from the ProSieben-Sat.1 group will show a live stream from the container around the clock in the spring. You can also see daily and weekly summaries on Joyn.

With the current celebrity edition, Joyn subscribers can follow the events live 24 hours a day. “‘Celebrity Big Brother’ is a great success on both Joyn and Sat.1. Viewers love the program in the linear and digital world – especially the 24/7 live stream on Joyn,” quoted Sat.1 Henrik Pabst, Chief Content Officer of Seven. One Entertainment.

100 days of normal people on “Big Brother”

The residents of the new 14th “Big Brother” season have to stay in the container for 100 days. The production company EndemolShine is currently calling for casting on its homepage. People aged 18 and over can apply. According to the casting call, both the “person next door” and the “weird bird” are being sought.

A normal season of “Big Brother” last ran in spring 2020. This was also preceded by a four-year break. Most recently, the celebrity variants had overtaken the original format in public perception. They have been running every year without a break since 2013.

Knossi edition bridges the waiting time

To bridge the gap between the celebrity and normal versions, there is the Knossi edition. Jens “Knossi” Knossala (37) will present a short version of “Big Brother” on Twitch in December. The live streaming platform will broadcast the short edition for three days.
