Rescheduling at Marvel (Source: Marvel)

  • The future Marvel movies have all been given a new start date.
  • Long-awaited titles like “Captain America 4”, “Thunderbolts” and “Avengers: Kang Dynasty” are included.
  • New release dates have already been announced.

The Marvel phases 5 and 6 are fully clocked and contain numerous films and series. If only the start date of a title changes, everything else has to be restructured as well. Something similar has now happened. A total of seven films will be released later than previously planned.

Also included is Captain America: Brave New World, which sees Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) finally step into Steve Rogers’ footsteps after the events of Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The film was originally scheduled to hit theaters on May 3, 2024. Now it should be August 26, 2024.

Marvel’s first anti-hero film, Thunderbolts, has also been pushed back. From July 26, 2024 to December 20, 2024. In the film, an unequal squad is recruited. Featuring Bucky Barns (Sebastian Stan), Red Guardian (David Harbour) and Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh).

Deadpool’s entry into the MCU has also been pushed back, “Deadpool 3” to May 3, 2024, Mahersala Ali’s “Blade” film to February 14, 2025 and the new “Fantastic Four” film to May 2nd 2025

You also have to wait longer until you can see the event films “Avengers: Kang Dynasty” and “Avengers: Secret Wars” in the cinema. According to the current status, they should appear on May 1, 2026 and May 7, 2027. It is not yet known whether the changes to the plan have something to do with the court case of Kang actor Jonathan Majors or the writers’ strike.

The new Avatar sequels 3, 4 and 5 are also affected by the plan changes. You could bridge the newly won waiting time with an MCU marathon on Disney +. You need more than enough time for the 32 films and 9 series.
