Big discomfort in Télématin: Julia Vignali and Thomas Sotto make their mea culpa after the sketch which turned into a fiasco

Telematin got a bad buzz at the start of the week! Monday September 5, 2022, on the occasion of the opening of the Nice attack trial, Alexandra Pizzagali wrote a column which went very badly with viewers of France 2. Tuesday September 6, 2022, Thomas Sotto declared in start of broadcast:Many of you were rightly struck by a humorous column on the show yesterday which, let’s be honest, was missed. It can happen, but in this case it has only added pain to all those who have been victims of this tragedy, and for that we are deeply sorry (…) We want to apologize to you this morning faced with this new ordeal with this trial which has just begun.“

For her part, Julia Vignali slipped: “Personally, the attacks have a very special resonance for me. I am unfortunately well placed to know that it takes a lot, a lot of hindsight to laugh at such a tragedy and sometimes, you realize that you never get there.“Yesterday afternoon, France Télévisions apologized on Twitter. Faced with the controversy, it was indicated:”The management of France Télévisions and the Télématin teams regret that a column with a humorous vocation has rightly offended many viewers. We offer our apologies and express our solidarity with the victims of the Nice attack and their loved ones.“

Alexandra Pizzagalli: “Zero censorship, teams at the top of benevolence”

Following the controversy, the comedian had spoken. On Instagram, she wrote: “Ok, we had a good laugh, but everything is fine.
