big leaks on magnificent sets of a legendary license

The year 2024 is off to a flying start for LEGO fans, and we can already learn of the arrival of big sets on an ultra-cult saga. It’s nice.

As we enter 2024, LEGO unveils its new collection of Star Wars sets. After a wave of releases in January, we now turn our attention to the other new releases planned for the rest of the year, including some very nice new releases. Ships, characters and more. Enough to satisfy any fan of the saga. As always, the very well informed site 9to5toys already seems to know everything and is leaking everything:

LEGO is focusing on this saga

The first sets for January 2024 are already available with:

  • Clone vs. Droid Battle Pack 75372: 29.99 euros | 215 pieces
  • Scarlet Fire Hawk for ages 4 and up 75384: 49.99 euros | 136 pieces

New for March: for March 2024, LEGO Star Wars plans the release of five new sets, with an orientation towards exhibition models. We only know the prices in dollars for the moment, but as always with LEGO, the difference in euros should not be huge.

  • Millennium Falcon Midi Scale 75375: $79.99 | 921 pieces
  • Tantive IV Midi Scale 75376: $79.99 | 654 pieces
  • Midi Scale Invisible Hand 75377: $52.99 | 557 pieces
  • Tantive IV Boarding Diorama 75387: $49.99 | 502 pieces
  • R2-D2 75379: $99.99 | 1,050 pieces

FYI, The term Midi-Scale in the context of LEGO sets refers to a scale of models that is larger than mini-models (or microscale), but smaller than standard-scale models or UCS versions (Ultimate Collector Series). In other words, Midi-Scale models are a kind of intermediate scale.

More mystery

June sets: in June, five new sets will invade the shelves. Two of them are based on the latest season of The Mandalorian, and a newcomer to the Disney+ catalog, the Skeleton Crew ship, will have its first and only LEGO set. This wave also includes the first Mech set of the year, as well as the only Microfighter known to date:

  • Skeleton Crew Ship 75374: $149.99 | 1,325 pieces
  • Mandalorian Season 3 Battle Pack 75373: $19.99 | 108 pieces
  • Mandalorian Bunker 75386: $39.99 | 289 pieces
  • Pilot Luke’s Mech in X-Wing 75390: $15.99 | Number of pieces unknown
  • Captain Rex’s Y-Wing Microfighter 75391: $9.99 | 99 pieces

August Sets: August remains the most mysterious month for the 2024 sets. Prices are announced, but the number of pieces remains unknown. The full list and details are expected to be revealed later in the spring. Several sets are planned without further details:

  • Unknown set 75388: $39.99
  • Unknown set 75385
  • Another unknown set 75389: $169.99
  • Unknown sets 75392, 75393, 75394: $79.99
  • Unknown set 75396: $89.99

October sets: Although there is no official confirmation, clues point to a UCS set of Jabba’s Sailing Barge. This model should have around 6,500 pieces and would cost around $600… A huge set therefore… For the record, a UCS set, or “Ultimate Collector Series”, in the world of LEGO, refers to a range of particularly detailed and complex sets, generally aimed at adult collectors.

Jabba’s barge that already exists.
