The participants in the first Enfoirés concert of the year, this Thursday, January 12 in Lyon, had to face a mishap. The event was so delayed that spectators had to make their own way home.
“We are in the run-in, we have to be indulgent”asked Mimie Mathy at the launch of the first Enfoirés concert of 2023. Her return to the stage within the collective didn’t quite go as planned, noted Tele-Star. Launched at La Halle Tony Garnier in Lyon, this Thursday, January 12, the premiere started an hour late, so that the concert ended at… half past midnight. According to the media News Lyon, if the luckiest spectators were able to get on a tram, those who wanted to take the metro found the door closed at this late hour. Taxi, VTC, self-service bicycle: hundreds of spectators had to find other solutions to get home – for a fee.
This February 15, in comments on an Instagram post of the Enfoirés, some people present that day expressed their displeasure : “I really regret coming to the premiere on Thursday”, says one user. Another lists the flaws she spotted: “Not all the artists, bad organization, the singers didn’t know their song”. The Halle Tony Garnier nevertheless expects 42,000 spectators until Monday 16 January. The room is engaged until then, the concerts end on time.

Contacted by News Lyon, the operator Keolis declared that it had not been contacted to set up a special arrangement for the concert period. The media recalls, however, that ten years earlier, in 2013, the Public Transport of the Lyon conurbation (TCL) had drawn up a plan with the organization of the Enfoirés; the same for several sporting and cultural events that have taken place in recent months. “We set up, when we are requested, special services, extended hours and arrangements with partner events, describes Keolis. It is very prepared in advance according to the schedules of concerts, shows, matches…”. By Monday evening, the participants in the Enfoirés concert will therefore have to rely on the organization of the show so as not to end up on foot.
