Bike: Olympic winner Primoz Roglic wins the 1st Vuelta stage

Primoz Roglic wants to do what the Swiss Tony Rominger did from 1992 to 1994. Win the Tour of Spain three times in a row. In 2019 and 2020 it worked. Now the Slovenian is aiming for the third strike in a row.

And the venture starts off optimally. The 31-year-old of the Jumbo Visma team wins the opening time trial with start and finish in Burgos over 7.1 kilometers six seconds ahead of the Spaniard Alex Aranburu. The Colombian Giro winner Egan Bernal lost 27 seconds in 46th place.
