Bikini body and summer body, annoying expressions

As summer approaches, the media talk about slimming, sports, swimwear, and we are no exception. Besides, you read but you don't necessarily adhere. Why ? Because the way the media often talks about it can be annoying, even stressful. So according to a recent investigation, a particular expression bristles …

The Feeleat app (a kind of guardian angel that helps you decipher your diet) had the idea of asking the French about their relationship to the body as summer approaches. And the responses of 1,200 people surveyed highlight various points, including a major one: stop "Summer Body" (summer body in French, yes, immediately, it's less glamorous!) And other "Bikini Bodies"!
No, we do not have a summer body and a winter body.

Only when it comes to revealing your figure a little more or even putting on your swimsuit, you often dream of an athletic, toned body. Why ? Because above all, we are conditioned.
Pubs, photos of young and slender bodies on the beach, and diktats are popping up everywhere. A conditioning such as 92% of the people polled say they know the expression "Summer body".
And even if 42% of the people questioned admit that they still want to anticipate the fact of showing off in a swimsuit, to prepare for it, 86% admit to feeling a kind of heavy pressure.

Pressure on the plate

The Feeleat survey highlights the fact that the injunction is more stressful when it comes to eating:

15% radically change their diet when summer comes. This pressure around the perfect body adds additional stress to the diet, which is conducive to the development of disorders. We must remain vigilant.

The look of the others

But the media and their seasonal subjects are not the only ones to weigh. Indeed, the gaze of friends (54% take it into consideration because they want to send a good image), colleagues during discussions (38%) and even that of family (30% of respondents) seems to intensify this feeling that 'we are judged, we want to look good.

Social networks sometimes reflect a perception of beauty that has little to do with real life. The super slim mannequins tend to make us swallow that beauty comes down to a size 36 and the freshness of a young person of 18 years!
Yet the average French size is well 40, and keep in mind that our information is in no way dictates.
So certainly, we inform you of the latest slimming discoveries, because you are watching them, but our credo at aufeminin is to believe that all bodies have their place in society. And we can never repeat it enough: nothing beats a person good in his head, free, to feel good about himself.
Obviously medicine sometimes reminds us to order by telling us what is better for health (see ANSES recommendations), but it is above all ESSENTIAL to be well in one's body, whatever it is, to take responsibility and not to try to resemble another.

What we like to eat in summer

But that the readers do not despair, the morale goes up as soon as the holidays are announced. And the respondents to the survey certainly love summer salads but just as much as barbecues and ice creams.
Come on, invite your friends over for dinner and keep your spirits up!
