fun, news, tips … what else?

On Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in the columns of Télé Loisirs, Bilal Hassani responded to the words of Matthieu Delormeau of which he was the target the day before, on the plateau of Touche not at my Post.

It was first on the set of TPMP and then on Twitter that the controversy broke out. Monday, September 6, 2021, a debate on the representation of homosexuals on television was open on the talk show of C8 following comments made by Jarry during an interview with RTL. The latter then declared: “TV is not the best example representativeness, acceptance and tolerance […] If you are too effeminate, it’s a little embarrassing. You have to be a reasonable PD, who doesn’t make too much noise and who doesn’t scream too loudly “.

Asked to bounce back on these statements, Matthieu Delormeau ended up pushing a rant about what he calls the “cartoonish homosexuals”, Before directly targeting Bilal Hassani : “I ain’t got nothing against him but a guy with a wig, and false eyelashes, I don’t recognize myself in this style of gay”.
The columnist then spoke about Bilal Hassani’s upcoming participation in Dance with the stars : “I say that on television, systematically and in all programs, you have to show extremely cartoonish gays because it amuses people, because that’s how we represent them. I’m shocked that in Dancing with the Stars whoever dances with a boy this year is a cartoonish gay.
On social networks – and in particular on Twitter – it was enough for the controversy to erupt and for such remarks to provoke the anger of internet users.

I hope that one day he will calm down and calm his heart

If he had remained silent so far, the day after this rant, Bilal Hassani wanted to react in the columns of Télé Loisirs. “I just put a picture of myself, and I went to bed. I didn’t particularly have the energy to make a constructive comment, because I found that it did not lend itself to it and did not deserve a real answer. Beyond the fact that I can take it as a personal attack, it’s serious to say such things in front of so many people. Not only on me, but also on all the people who are like me! I don’t think I’m a caricature and I think I’m a normal human being, he said before continuing: “I hope that one day he will calm down and calm his heart“.
