And once again Bill and Tom Kaulitz (both 34) have a new project on the line: The twins are getting their own documentary series on Netflix, “Kaulitz & Kaulitz,” as was announced on March 13th. The Tokio Hotel stars are no longer just in the music business. Podcasts, fashion, books and lots of TV programs are now also part of everyday life for the entertaining brothers, who were born in Leipzig and have been at home in Los Angeles for several years.

Joint TV projects and podcast “Mustard from Hollywood”

Whether on “Markus Lanz”, “Inas Nacht” or “3nach9” – Bill and Tom Kaulitz have already visited a number of talk shows over the years and answered interview questions from the moderators. In 2013 they joined “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. In the tenth season of the casting show, you were part of the jury alongside pop titan Dieter Bohlen (70) and Mateo Jasik (45), founder and lead singer of the band Culcha Candela. Before that, the twins took a two-year media break. By the way, a certain Beatrice Egli (35) won her relay back then.

In 2017, they won the family show “Small vs. Big” against the then eleven-year-old Leonard. He wanted to compete against the duo and prove that he could recognize more big cities based on their subway lines. At the end, moderator Kai Pflaume (56) announced the two’s victory. “Pure luck,” Bill called his success.

In the summer of 2022, the Kaulitz brothers also demonstrated their talent in the kitchen. In Jan Böhmermann’s (43) cooking talk, they prepared Grandma Kaulitz’s Christmas duck. They also served red cabbage and potato dumplings. Böhmermann, on the other hand, took his cue from the brothers’ adopted hometown and countered with pancakes.

In May 2023 they started their own music show on RTL with “That’s My Jam with Bill & Tom Kaulitz”, which was based on the format of the same name from the USA. But the show flopped despite prominent guests such as Jan Delay (47), Tom Beck (46) and Milky Chance and was banned from free TV after three episodes. Fans can still access the format via the streaming service RTL+. In the same year, the two sat in the double chair on “The Voice of Germany”.

The Kaulitz brothers’ joint Spotify podcast is anything but a flop. The first episode of “Kaulitz Hills – Mustard from Hollywood” was released in September 2021, and since then there have been new episodes every week in which the twins talk about their glamorous and entertaining Hollywood lifestyle. The new episodes are now being recorded live in front of an audience, including in Hamburg and Düsseldorf. In 2023, the podcast was awarded the 1 Live Krone in the “Best Entertainment” category.
