The Kaulitz twins reveal in an interview that their mother had considered going to a psychologist with them.

The twin brothers Bill and Tom Kaulitz celebrated their 32nd birthday on September 1st. Just in time for her special day, her new podcast “Kaulitz Hills – Senf aus Hollywood” was launched on Spotify. In the interview with “Welt” the singer and the guitarist speak From Tokio Hotel, among other things, about what makes the podcast special and why her mother wanted to visit a psychologist with them when the two were still children.

“Tom and I just don’t have a filter”

Tom Kaulitz, who has been married to model and presenter Heidi Klum (48) since 2019, laughs, he could not imagine that there would be another podcast “that is more interesting”. “And I think there are few twin brothers who speak so honestly and openly with one another,” says Brother Bill. With other interlocutors, “you might take a step back” or pay attention to the things you say. “Tom and I just don’t have a filter. Our goal for the podcast is actually to turn the listener into our triplet.”

They also tell of their special connection as twin brothers, which is very intense. “I once had a premonition that Bill was going to be in a traffic accident. I then called him and told him he had to drive carefully,” explains Tom. Bill actually had a serious accident later, in which fortunately nothing worse happened. This is one of the possible situations “where we couldn’t really believe this connection ourselves. You can feel each other. That sounds a bit esoteric, but it’s not at all.”

As children, the two had “even had identical nightmares about witches and monsters”. Your mother couldn’t believe it either, explains Bill. He explains: “We sat together at the breakfast table in front of school in the morning, told each other our dreams as a matter of course and ended each other. She was worried and thought about whether she should go to a psychologist with us.”

“Some will love the podcast, but quite a few will hate it too”

In “Kaulitz Hills – Mustard from Hollywood” the musicians give weekly insights into their life in Los Angeles. Ten episodes are planned for the time being. In an interview with “Welt”, Bill Kaulitz also casually mentions another season. It is currently not known whether this is already firmly planned.

“We’re really looking forward to our joint brothers podcast, in which we can put our mustard on people’s bread every week without being asked,” Bill said earlier in a press release. Tom added: “I think, as always with us, some will love it, but also quite a few will hate it. In any case, we have always been good at chatting and Kaulitz Hills was long overdue.”
