Bill Gates (65) couldn’t be more proud: Jennifer (25), the oldest daughter of the Microsoft founder, got married. On Saturday (October 16), she said yes to her fiancé Nayel Nassar (30) in a dream dress by Vera Wang. Now the family has published the first photos of the wedding. The bride posted a photo with her husband on Instagramthat shows the two of them beaming all over their faces. The two walk along a long flower-lined path, surrounded by their guests. “My universe,” wrote Jennifer Gates simply, adding the wedding date.

Nayel Nassar posted a similar photo of the two. The wedding was “the happiest day of my life”. Bill Gates wrote emotional words to a picture of the bride and groom: “Jenn and Nayel, it is impossible to put into words how happy it makes me to see you joyfully on your wedding day. I am so proud of you both because of everything you have achieved in your life so far will do with your future together. ” Even his ex-wife Melinda Gates (57) called it a “joy, the light and the love” of the two to be able to celebrate.

Guests had to adhere to strict corona rules

Jennifer Gates and Nayel Nassar would have followed a piece of advice at their wedding as the 25-year-old explained to the US American “Vogue”: “To remember that this day is all about us and our love. I think we really kept that in focus when planning and still tried to ensure that our families and friends can enjoy it.” To ensure a safe party, the guests had to adhere to strict corona rules and have a full vaccination and a negative test result. “We are incredibly happy to gather together safely with our loved ones,” said Jennifer Gates.

The wedding took place at the couple’s farm in Westchester County, New York State. Gates and Nassar, who are both show jumpers, met at the riding arena. In January 2020, the couple got engaged on a skiing holiday.
