With this new Bing chatbot feature, the AI will talk to you like the biggest celebrities.

Microsoft is now the leader in AI-powered chatbots, thanks to the integration of ChatGPT technology with Bing. And to keep its lead in the field, the Redmond firm is multiplying innovations.

An ever more personal chatbot

Has Google definitely missed the wave? The American tech giant, which has been multiplying innovations in artificial intelligence for years, seems particularly dropped in the face of Microsoft. The firm founded by Bill Gates has indeed not only succeeded in getting its hands on ChatGPT, but it is also advancing very quickly in the development of new functionalities for its chatbot.

We thus learned a few days ago that the conversational agent installed in Bing could be configured according to three different types of personalities. An interesting novelty which is however only in its infancy. Because according to Bleeping Computer Microsoft is already testing a “celebrity mode”.

To access it, it is necessary to ask the Bing chatbot for information about this feature. He will then activate it while summarizing it in a few words. Then, using the command # or #celebrity followed by the name of the personality you want to interview, you will be able to interact with a chatbot speaking like the selected star.

Harry Potter, yes. Donald Trump, maybe!

Thus, to have Elon Musk in front of your screen, you will have to type #elon musk or #celebrity elon musk. You can talk to the boss of Tesla about the difficulties of Twitter or his dream of conquering Mars.

It should be noted, however, that for the moment, the chatbot can only imitate (mostly) fairly consensual personalities from the Anglo-Saxon world, such as Dwayne Johnson, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey or Lebron James. It is also possible to cut the end of fat with fictional characters such as Batman, Darth Vader, Harry Potter or Gollum.

In order to avoid controversy as much as possible, the chatbot cannot generally reproduce the speech of controversial personalities, obviously like current politicians. But Bleeping Computer explains that by manipulating the AI a little, it is possible to make it speak, for example, like Donald Trump. And you, will you get there?
