BioWare (Dragon’s Age 4) is recruiting on the side of the Guardians of the Galaxy

Mary DeMarle, screenwriter on Deus Ex Mankind Divided / Human Revolution and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy joins BioWare. A major talent for Dragon Age 4 Dreadwolf and Mass Effect 5.

Over the months, BioWare’s workforce has melted like snow in the sun following an industrial accident, the aptly named Anthem. A veteran of the team even founded his studio to work, drum roll, on a AAA sci-fi. As a result, we will have to hire seriously and a very appreciated screenwriter has just landed there.

Screenwriter Mary DeMarle to the rescue of BioWare

Our colleagues at VGC have noticed a significant change on Mary DeMarle’s LinkedIn profile. After 15 years at Eidos Montreal, she retains her position as Narrative Director… but at BioWare.

In her previous home, she was able to oversee and shape the storylines for Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Deus Ex Human Revolution as well as Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. She won the “best storytelling” award for her Marvel game at the 2021 Game Awards. A direct recognition of her work and her potential contribution to the studio’s future productions.

As the screenwriter did not communicate on her own, we do not know if she will participate in the development of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, that of Mass Effect 5 or even both. Is this the start of a renaissance for BioWare? This is what all fans should hope and expect.
