Formula 1 legend Niki Lauda died two years ago. His widow Birgit now appears with a new man at her side.

Niki Lauda (1949-2019) died on May 20, 2019 at the age of 70. His wife Birgit (42) was always by his side – for 15 years. Now the widow of the Formula 1 legend has found a new love, with which she showed herself for the first time on Saturday at the Salzburg Festival.

With the “Bild” newspaper the 42-year-old now spoke about who the new man is by her side. At the premiere of “Tosca” at the Salzburg Festival, Marcus Sieberer was “not just a companion. He’s the new man in my life after Niki. We met through mutual friends on Ibiza,” revealed Niki Lauda’s widow.

Both bring children into the relationship

She and the financial expert and lawyer have been in a relationship since the beginning of the year. Sieberer is divorced and the father of two teenagers. Birgit Lauda also brings two children into the relationship: Her twins Max and Mia are eleven years old and were born in September 2009.

Niki Lauda was Formula 1 world champion three times, in 1975, 1977 and 1984. In 1976 he barely survived a serious accident at the Nürburgring. He suffered severe burns to his head and burns to his lungs. 42 days after the horror crash, he started again at the Italian Grand Prix. In 1997 and 2005, Lauda had to undergo two kidney transplants as a result of the accident. He also had a lung transplant in summer 2018.
