Birgit Schrowange’s format “Birgit’s strong women” is a failure for Sat.1. The station takes the series out of the program.

Sat.1 discontinues “Birgit’s strong women” after only two episodes. The broadcaster with a “Too bad!” communicated on Twitter. The new format by Birgit Schrowange (64) attracted fewer viewers than expected. “That’s why we’re going to take the show out of the program with immediate effect,” it said. Apparently there should be no alternative slot. Five episodes were actually planned.

Schrowange had made her TV comeback with the series on Sat.1 after she stopped at the end of 2019 with “Extra – Das RTL-Magazine” after around 25 years. In terms of ratings, the second episode had even undercut the weak start, as “DWDL” reports. A total of only around 320,000 viewers had tuned in, which corresponded to a market share of 1.3 percent. At the beginning of May, at least 490,000 people tuned in.

“We will be more” should continue to start on June 26th

At the same time, the broadcaster confirms that the previously planned start for Schrowange’s series “Wir wird mehr” is still planned for June 26th. From 5:55 p.m. on Sundays, the presenter accompanies families who are expanding in one way or another. Sat.1 had also announced that Schrowange’s report series “Unser Mallorca” would be broadcast in the summer.
