Released in theaters on October 19, Black Adam announces a certain renewal in the DC universe at the cinema, under the impetus of Dwayne Johnson.

Very involved in the production of the film, which took him 10 years to build, The Rock does not intend to stop there! Interviewed by us, the actor wants to expand the DC universe and give it new momentum.

“We can expect anything in the DC Universe. I think a crossover can happen between Joker and Black Adam”underlines Dwayne Johnson. “Another can also feature the Suicide Squad and Black Adam, all together with the Justice Society”he adds.

I think a crossover can happen between Joker and Black Adam.

“I’m also thinking of Shazam of course, and Superman, Wonder Woman!”says The Rock. “In our world, in this new era of the DC Universe, we think of all the possibilities. If it makes sense, everyone can meet, interact and fight!”concludes the 50-year-old actor.

Dwayne Johnson does not believe so well! Fans have been clamoring for Henry Cavill to return as Superman for years, and the actor made their dream come true by having him return in the Black Adam post-credits scene. This demonstrates the omnipotence of Johnson in Hollywood, who personally wanted this cameo, against the advice of the former president of DC, Walter Hamada.

Now, the machine is relaunched and we can therefore expect a sequel featuring the son of Krypton against Black Adam. In addition, The Rock went even further at the microphone of Variety, which raised the question of a crossover between Marvel and DC.

“I am naturally optimistic”he replied. “I like the idea that we will see that one day. If the end goal is to have some kind of crossover that can be compelling, smart, cool for the fans, then let’s take the temperature with them”he continued.

“And if the fans like the concept, then let’s do it! This is how I run my business. I truly believe that anything can happen. Anything can happen with the right people, in the right place, with the right leadership, with the right good conversation”enthused the Hollywood star.

While waiting to find out what the official future of Black Adam will be, Shazam 2 will land in cinemas on March 29, 2023.
