Despite their ergonomic qualities, the JBL Tune 230NC TWS have not gone far from correctional facilities because of their unbalanced and, to say the least, trying sound signature that they offer out of the box. The equalizer present in the application saves the day and allows you to benefit from a sound experience with still some flaws, but much more pleasant, natural and overall satisfactory. JBL headphones are thus positioned as a pair of headphones true wireless very honest, which still has to face fierce competition and sometimes significantly more interesting in terms of quality/price.
Strong points
- Rich sound reproduction, well balanced and rather well defined after equalization.
- Pleasant and relatively complete user experience, well thought-out companion app.
- Very solid battery life (8 to 10 hours per charge).
- Comfortable to wear.
- Mode of listening to surrounding sounds quite natural.
Weak points
- Treble which lacks precision, with a slightly sparkling sound.
- Bass a little soft.
- Shy active noise reduction.
- Headphones that have a slight tendency to slip.
NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude the prices of stores whose the VAT policy is not clear (so-called “gray” stores, typically in the case of imports from China).

Despite its ergonomic qualities (intuitive and complete user experience, good comfort/support, good autonomy), the Backbeat Pro 5100 will have difficulty standing out in terms of sound performance. They fail to recreate the very pleasant surprise of the first Backbeat Pro (a headset) and give us a particularly flattering and energetic sound reproduction; even too energetic, which immediately limits the listening volume or listening time. We prefer the Elite 65t, just as complete, but with a slightly softer and above all modular sound reproduction, or the Beoplay E8, for example.
