Netflix has released the official trailer for Black Mirror Season 6. Among other things, the clip reveals the start date.

Netflix has the official trailer released for the sixth season of the successful series “Black Mirror”. It also reveals the start date: the series will return with new episodes on June 15th. Familiar faces will once again be seen in the series – including Salma Hayek (56), Aaron Paul (43), Josh Hartnett (44) and Kate Mara (40).

The trailer also gives a first insight into the content. The clip includes a brief preview of an episode titled “Joan Is Awful,” in which a woman comments that a global streaming platform has released a drama series about her life, in which she is portrayed by Salma Hayek.

What’s new in season six?

Series creator Charlie Brooker (52) has on the Netflix “Tudum” page reveal that for the new episodes he has turned some of his own assumptions inside out to keep things “fresh” for the viewers as well as himself. There would be “a few new elements, including some that I previously swore the show would never do,” Brooker explains. Nevertheless, the stories are “tonally still ‘Black Mirror’ through and through”, albeit with “crazy twists and more variety than ever before”.

“Black Mirror” premiered on Channel 4 in December 2011. Before the third season, the series was bought by Netflix.
