Black Panther 2: did you spot this reference to a famous Avenger in Wakanda Forever?


Check out this “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” nod to a member of the Avengers, who apparently wrote a book, and other hidden details from the Marvel movie.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently in theaters and, like all Marvel films, offers references to films that preceded it in the same universe, as well as to comics. Small selection of details that you may have missed during the theatrical screening of the new Wakanda adventure.

A nod to Ant-Man

In a drop-down banner under CNN anchor Anderson Cooper as he tells the world that T’Challa is missing, the message can be seen: “Scott Lang continues the promotional tour of his autobiography “Look for the little man”. The title of Lang’s book alias Ant-Man echoes the powers of the superhero, who can change size at will, and the following film in the Marvel universe, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

In the comics Doomwar n°5 (2010), appears a Wakandan elite force which responds to the order of the Dora Milaje, responsible for protecting the sovereign of the country whatever the cost. They have the ability to fly and jump like a Black Panther. In the film, the costume is seen when Shuri encourages Okoye to wear it in order to fight the people of Namor.

New Asgard

During the same Anderson Cooper TV spot announcing the death of the King of Wakanda, we can read a message that a new treaty has been made with New Asgard, the city on Earth that has been home to the survivors of Asgard since its destruction during the events of Thor: Ragnarok and then Thanos’ attack on the Asgardian ship at the start of Avengers: Infinity War. The details are not known, but we can deduce that the integration of this new population is happening legally. In Thor: Love and Thunder, we had already seen the tourist boom caused by the installation of this colony.
