The US rapper Black Rob had to struggle with health problems again and again. Now the musician has died at the age of 51.

And the rap world is mourning again: The American rapper Black Rob died at the age of 51. So far nothing is known about the cause of death. However, Black Rob, whose real name was Robert Ross, had repeatedly struggled with health problems in the past.

Musician colleague Mark Curry confirmed the death of the rapper in one emotional Instagram video: “I don’t know where to start, but I thank everyone for the donations. Rob passed away about an hour ago,” explains Curry tearfully, who previously spoke about the “GoFundMe” platform Raised funds for Black Rob.

Black Rob was homeless

The last time Black Rob had spoken in a video about a week ago was that above all made the rounds on Twitter. In it he reported that he had been discharged from the hospital after surviving a stroke, but was now homeless. “I’ve been suffering from it for five years […] Four strokes. I don’t know what to tell you guys. The shit is insane. This shit is tough. ”

Black Rob was signed by Sean Combs’ (51) record company “Bad Boy Entertainment” in the late 1990s. In 2000 his debut album “Life Story” was released. It also features his hit single “Whoa!” With which the rapper celebrated worldwide success.
