After “Mulan” and “Soul”, other cinema hopefuls will come straight to Disney +: “Cruella” and the Marvel film “Black Widow”.

In view of the still raging corona pandemic, passionate moviegoers and operators have to accept the next low blow. As the Disney film studio announced in a press release, both the Marvel film “Black Widow” and the real-life version “Cruella” will be released directly by Disney +. In the USA, a simultaneous release on the in-house streaming service and in the cinemas is planned for both films. It is still unclear whether this will or can also be the case in Europe.

“Cruella” with Oscar winner Emma Stone (32) will be available from May 28th, “Black Widow” with Scarlett Johansson (36) as the title hero from July 9th. For both, however – as was the case with “Mulan” – an additional fee is due in addition to the normal subscription price. It is not yet known how high the costs for this “Premier Access” will be. For “Mulan” it was 21.99 euros at the time.

The new Pixar film “Luca”, however, will be released exclusively on Disney + on June 18, as was the case with the animated hit “Soul”. Furthermore, the theatrical releases of several promising films have been postponed again. “Free Guy” with Ryan Reynolds (44) has been postponed to August 13, 2021, “Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” to September 3, 2021 and “The King’s Man” to December 22, 2021. Even Until next year film fans will have to wait for “Deep Water” and “Death on the Nile”. They will be released on January 14th and February 11th, 2022.
