Blade Runner: a new video game in preparation

License which ultimately gave very few video games, even if we remember the fabulous Point’n Click released in 1997 and which moreover returns in an “Enhanced” version at the end of June, Blade Runner will return in a new game, announced for 2025.

Fabulous license with an inimitable universe, Blade Runner has however given very, very few games. The one we obviously remember is the formidable Point’n Click developed by the Westwood studio and released in 1997.

Although the story varied from that of the film, the atmosphere of the game was ultra faithful to that released by the work of Ridley Scott. It also took over certain sets and characters, including Deckard. Sean Young and Brion James, who respectively hold the roles of Rachel and Leon in the film, took part in the casting of the voices of the game. On the other hand, Rutger Hauer, who was also to make an appearance during a sequence, did not ultimately not accepted.

Fans (and there are many of them) should be over the moon as Nightdive Studios is about to bring the magic back to life with Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition. Several times postponed, the release of the title is now set for June 24.

Moreover, according to an insider named Tom Henderson, very often well informed, of the site Try Hard Guidesthe society 110 Industries has just taken over the rights to the Blade Runner license. This new game would be developed by a studio of the company, based in Switzerland, for a release scheduled for 2025. A teaser of the game would circulate, but not officially. By the time of the release, we will probably be able to see the adaptation in live series which is in preparation, entitled Blade Runner 2099.
