Series star divorces after 27 years of marriage

Blair Underwood and his wife are getting divorced. “It was a wonderful trip,” they said in a joint statement.
Series star Blair Underwood (56) and wife Desiree DaCosta divorce after 27 years. They describe their failed marriage in a jointly published statement as “a really wonderful trip”. But after much deliberation, prayers and work on themselves, the couple came to the conclusion that they would end their marriage after 27 years.
“Our proudest accomplishments are our three incredible children. Three souls that God has entrusted to us,” the two of them explain in their statement. “We will continue to be the best of friends and parents and have the greatest respect for one another when we start this new chapter of our lives separately.”
Underwood, who received a recurring guest role on Sex and the City as Dr. Robert Leeds, who later starred in the series “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” and “Quantico”, married his wife Desiree in 1994. They have children Blake (19), Brielle (22) and Paris (24).
