Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani got engaged. But before he proposed to her, he asked her three sons for permission.
Before country star Blake Shelton (44, "Happy Anywhere") dropped to his knees at his ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma last month to meet his long-time partner, no-doubt star Gwen Stefani (51, "Hollaback Girl") to propose marriage, he obtained the consent of their three sons Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12 and Apollo, 6. "People" reports this, citing a source close to Stefani.
The boys apparently agreed, the rest is history. "Your family thinks he is very good. He is a fantastic partner and a great additional father for the boys. Gwen is overjoyed. The proposal was a surprise," the source chatted on.
It will be their second and third marriage
The public found out about the engagement on October 27 through a post on their Instagram page. He also published the same photo in which she shows her engagement ring on his account and wrote: "Hey Gwen Stefani, thank you for saving my 2020 … And the rest of my life … I love you! I have heard a YES! "
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been a couple since 2015. It will be her second marriage. From 2002 to 2016 she was married to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale (55). Her three sons are from this marriage. It will be Shelton’s third marriage. Most recently, he tied the knot from 2011 to 2015 with his colleague Miranda Lambert (36).
