Bleak Faith: Forsaken Accused Of Plagiarizing Elden Ring, Indie Developer Explains

The games of FromSoftware inspire many developersTHE souls like many have landed on computers and consoles for several years, but Bleak Faith: Forsaken does little more than draw inspiration from these Action RPG. As pointed out Meowmaritusdeveloper of tools for modding, Bleak Faith: Forsaken uses identical animations from Elden Ringprobably obtained thanks to one of its tools.

Meowmaritus explains that he enjoys seeing games inspired by souls, but does not tolerate its tool being used to export animations for reuse in commercial games. The video leaves no room for doubt, Bleak Faith: Forsaken has many of the same animations as Elden Ring and Dark Souls IIIbut Archangel Studios still shared several press releases to explain.

The independent studio admits to using assets external, in particular for animations, certain visual and sound effects. The small team thus bought assets on theEpic Marketplace to help with the development of Bleak Faith: Forsakenthinking thatEpic Games verified the origin of this content sold to developers. But after several messages exchanged with theEpic Customer Serviceit would appear that this is not the case. Archangel Studios has obviously purchased, in good faith, stolen content from FromSoftwareAnd he now undertakes to replace these assets in a future update.

Bad publicity for Archangel Studios And Bleak Faith: Forsakenwhich is currently available at Steam and which will arrive soon on GOG.com as well as on PS4 and Xbox One. Otherwise, you can find Elden Ring To €53.99 on Gamesplanet.
