BlizzCon: Blizzard expects the event to return in 2023

The BlizzCon is one of the many shows canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Blizzard nevertheless organized a BlizzConline in 2021 only online and was to do the same at the start of the year. But the studio preferred to cancel it as well to focus on the development of a real living room, physical and reinvented for the occasion.

So, when will we see her again BlizzCon ? Well, maybe in 2023at least that’s what Mike Ybarra, the president of Blizzard Entertainment recently spoke with the Los Angeles Times and said:

We previously announced that we were taking a break from BlizzCon while we reimagined it for the future, but we want to return to a live event that allows us to celebrate the community. We recently hired a new BlizzCon lead, April McKee, who is hard at work on this front. We are committed to bringing BlizzCon back to 2023.

So there is nothing confirmed, but Blizzard might well bring it back to life BlizzCon from next year. As a reminder, the studio will launch at the end of the year Overwatch 2at least the pvp in Early Access and free-to-playwhile lovers of hack’n slash eagerly awaiting Diablo IV. To wait, you can find Diablo + Hellfire at €9.39 on GOG.com.
