Blockrocket German Blockchain Award 2021: These are the winners

As a media partner, BTC-ECHO provided three jury members for this year’s German Blockchain Award from Blockrocket. These are the winners.

One thing is certain: the Metaverse is here to stay. That was this year’s German Blockchain Award 2021organized by the venture capitalist Blockrocket, clearly noticeable. In three categories, three winners were chosen from ten start-ups with a focus on blockchain. In front of over 250 spectators at times, the start-ups in the Pre-Seed, Seed and Series-A categories were initially able to give a 60-second pitch. Three at a time then prevailed – coordinated by the audience: internal votes, and were then able to go deeper into the subject in 5-minute pitches. It was then up to the jury to choose the winners.

These startups won the race.

Pre-seed

Every company starts small. Start-ups that do not yet have a significant base of investors are in the so-called pre-seed phase. Blockrocket has dedicated its own category to these up-and-coming companies. The participating start-ups that made it into the line-up were:

Style Exchange, License Rocks, Myrise, Digital Village, Basenode, ZTLment, Bricknest, Cinenso, Saraverse, YaliYomo and DropStar.

Of the 250 or so spectators who were elected to the finals:

Style Exchange, Saraverse, DropStar.

The gold medal then went to DropStar, who would like to use NFTs to pass on the steadily increasing profits of the music industry to artists. The first collaborations are already in place. Stars from the electronic music scene such as Ellen Allien and Christian Löffler have signed up, among others.

CEO and founder Vikas Bhola tells us how things should continue. He said to BTC-ECHO:

“The next steps are to create great, music-based virtual experiences in the form of NFTs from working with some well-known artists, wrapped in a simple and intuitive user experience to allow mainstream users to enter the world of cryptocurrencies where they can use NFTs can easily buy and save. “

The second and third place start-ups also orientate themselves towards the Metaverse: Style Exchange equips avatars with virtual clothing and Saraverse does not want to leave the digital space to large corporations without a fight.

  1. Place: DropStar
  2. Place: Saraverse
  3. Place: Style Exchange

Seed

The start-ups in the seed category were somewhat more advanced. Here, too, three out of ten companies made it onto the podium. The nominees were:

BAM Ticketing, Cheqd, Mpowa, BC Vault crypto, Tracifier, Bitscrunch, Co2DAO, Huddle01, Sideos GmbH, MGH DAO.

In front of 250 spectators, BAM Ticketing, Co2DAO and Tracifier were ultimately able to prevail in this order. winner BAM ticketing excelled through a sophisticated use case: The Viennese company wants to put an end to counterfeit tickets and uses – you guessed it – blockchain technology.

  1. Place: BAM ticketing
  2. Place: Co2DAO
  3. Place: Tracifier

Series-A

There were also some top-class start-ups in the Series A category.

From the field of participants, which consisted of Trality, AdHash, Scorechain, Venly, BREACH, Tangany, Finoa, etherisc, Xva Blockchain and Ive.one, these three companies ultimately prevailed:

  1. place AdHash

2nd place: Venly

3rd place Ive.one

Winner AdHash convinced the jury, which included BTC-ECHO editor-in-chief Sven Wagenknecht, with a sophisticated model with which they want to turn the advertising market upside down. In line with the motto “cut out the middlemen”, AdHash would like to enable more direct advertising, which will primarily benefit online magazines and blogs.
