Blonde on Netflix: Ana de Armas is afraid to see her nude scenes landing on the networks

Actress Ana de Armas, who plays Marilyn Monroe in the fake biopic Blonde on Netflix, worries that some nude scenes will be taken out of context and uploaded to the internet.

Available since September 28 on Netflix, Blonde is an adaptation of the bestseller of the same name by Joyce Carol Oates, which traces the tumultuous childhood, the meteoric rise and the complex love stories of Marilyn Monroe.

In this audacious retelling of the life of Norma Jeane/Marilyn Monroe, director Andrew Dominick blurs the line between fact and fiction and explores the major gap between her public persona and the person she was in private.

Ana de Armas’ Fear About Blonde

It’s actress Ana de Armas who plays the late Hollywood star and gives her all in the darkest moments of Marilyn Monroe’s personal life and career. If the Cuban actress is proud of her performance, there is one subject that worries her about the release of the film.

It was during an interview for variety, in which she returned to the question of privacy and the fact of being scrutinized by the paparazzi on her love life, that Ana de Armas raised a question that worries her. That of what people can do with certain passages of Blonde where she is naked.

The actress is afraid that with the posting on Netflix these passages will land on the Internet, out of context, because of malicious people:

“I did things in this movie that I would never have done for anyone else, ever. I did it for her [Marilyn Monroe] and i did it for andrew [Dominik]. […] I know this is going to go viral, and it’s disgusting.

It’s heartbreaking just to think about it. I can’t control it, you can’t really control what they do and how they take things out of context. I don’t think it gave me any doubts, it just gave me a bitter taste to think about the future of these streaks.”
