Test Archetypes and set preferences
Bloodhunt offers, at the time of this writing, 7 playable characters : Brute, Vandal, Enforcer, Siren, Muse, Ranger and Saboteur. Each of them has its own powers and characteristics. Some are more suitable for beginners, while others are more difficult to master. In the same way, this can vary depending on your game mode since in a duo or a trio, you can form a more or less complementary team, unlike the games started solo. Nevertheless, we advise you to test the archetypes one by onefor a few hours, in order to find the one that suits you the most.
Finally, remember that we offer you a tier list of the best archetypes, according to the current meta. This guide will give you information about each playable character, which could help you identify, in advance, which ones best suit your way of playing.
Loot good weapons and have a shield
As with all battle royales, starting a game on Bloodhunt, you will end up with rudimentary equipment. Therefore, during the first minutes of the game, you will have to go in search of loot. For this you can use your radar, highlighting available equipment on the ground, in crates, in trucks, etc.
Currently, Bloodhunt provides 21 weapons, in total. Among them, we can count on 4 equipment inflicting melee damage: Double Blade, Katana, Spiked Bat and Fire Axe. All the others are firearms, such as submachine guns, rifles, snipers, etc. The set is classified according to a color code, indicating the rarity of the equipment. Moreover, about the weapons of Bloodhunt, we have concocted a tier list on this subject. This might give you some pointers as to the best weapons in the game, based on the current meta.
In Bloodhunt, it is essential to collect a weapon as quickly as possible. This will allow you to face the first enemies. On the other hand, if it does not suit you, try to get another one. It will be easier to eliminate an opposing player if you know and master the weapon you have in your hands. Thereby, we can only advise you to take advantage of your first games to try out different weapons. You will eventually find the one(s) that suits you best.
In addition, if you are new to the title, do not rush to the Antique Dealers (dagger symbol, on the compass) or to the Gunsmiths (gun icon, on the map), as soon as you appear. These are places very popular with players, and therefore at risk.
Finally, in Bloodhunt you can count on shield plates. They can be found on the ground or in trucks. You can equip up to one shield plate. This protection will be represented by a blue line, positioned next to your health gauge. Try to find as many as possible. Equip one and keep the others. As soon as you lose life points and lose your shield, consider getting a plate back. Having a shield could make the difference during a confrontation.
Verticality, playing with it and paying attention to it
Contrary to Call of Duty: Warzone, Sharkmob’s battle royale, Bloodhunt, highlights verticality. As was the case on Hyperscapefor example.
Indeed, the map currently available on Bloodhunt represents the city of Prague. As a result, the map is made up of a plurality of buildings of different sizes/heights. Some players have got into the habit of moving on the roofs of said infrastructures, in order to have greater visibility.
