The British online flower mail order company Bloom & Wild has also been represented in Germany for some time and wants to stand out from the crowd with high-quality bouquets. Our test shows whether this works.
Selection
At the time of our test, Bloom & Wild listed 37 bouquets and 21 houseplants in its range. Compared to the other candidates in the test field, the selection is rather average in terms of number. However, the offer, at least in the presentation, makes a higher quality impression than with some other flower mailers. This is also particularly evident in the houseplants. Here you can buy more exotic plants. Like all other services, with Bloom & Wild you get a guarantee that the flowers will stay fresh for seven days.
The quality standards are also reflected in the prices. The cheapest item at Bloom & Wild costs 20 euros. On average you pay 35 euros for a bouquet of flowers. The price range for indoor plants is between 30 and 200 euros.
Send post and greeting cards online: the best providers in the test

As with Valentins and Aldi Blumen, you can also take out a flower subscription with the British supplier. The Classic and Seasonal models arrive every 28 days. Alternatively, you can also choose a fixed period of time. You have the choice between three, six and twelve months. After that, the subscription ends automatically. A cancellation, pause or change of the delivery details is possible at any time.
As is usual with online flower services, you can also upgrade your order with little surprises at Bloom & Wild. However, compared to the competition, the selection is very limited. In addition to three vases, which cost between 9 and 14 euros, you can also add chocolates, a bar of chocolate, a small Prosecco, a mini cake, a flower press or florist scissors.

Bloom & Wild presents the offer clearly on its own website. So that you can find your gift as quickly as possible, you can search through the sorting at the top of the screen. Categories such as “Flowers”, “Plants” and “Occasions” are broken down into sub-items. You can use filters to adapt the flower selection to your search criteria such as price, occasion or colour.

Useful app
Apps for your smartphone are a rarity among flower senders. In our comparison, only FloraPrima offers an app, but it offers no real added value. The situation is different with the mobile application from Bloom & Wild.
The software for Android and iOS offers a number of advantages, especially in connection with a customer account. For example, you can save your favorites so that you can find them more quickly the next time you place an order. We particularly like the option to create personal reminders. Occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries can be saved with names, so you always have an overview and are reminded in good time. You also have the option of importing birthdays that are saved on your cell phone.
You can also contact support directly via the app and have an overview of all your past orders. You can also change the delivery country in the application. Great Britain, Ireland, France, Germany and Austria are available.

Ordering your selected flower gift is very easy. First you get all the information about your bouquet in a window and you can take a closer look at it in a series of pictures. Click on send to start the ordering process. As previously mentioned, you can add little touches to your bouquet before providing the delivery details.
Bloom & Wild impressions
We want to give you a few impressions of the website here.
Only the name and address of the recipient are required as information. When selecting the bouquet, it is advisable to find out whether it can be delivered on the desired date. Bloom & Wild states that the plants are fresh and therefore not all flowers are available at all times.
You only need to provide your name and email address. You do not necessarily have to create a customer account. Before making the final payment, you can choose a free greeting card and enter a text with a maximum of 450 characters. You can choose from 18 designs for the card.
Free Shipping
Standard shipping at Bloom & Wild is completely free. However, the dealer points out that there may be a delay in delivery of 1 to 2 days. If you want your gift to arrive on time, guaranteed delivery is worth it. At 4.95 euros, this is still cheaper than standard shipping from all other providers in comparison. For delivery on Saturday, however, 9.95 euros are due for guaranteed delivery.
If you order your flowers by 5 p.m. the day before, there is a 90 percent chance that the delivery will arrive on the next working day, provided the selected bouquet is available for the period. Delivery is not possible on Sundays and Mondays. DPD or GO! Express take care of the delivery.
Bloom & Wild also sends your flower greetings to the European countries Great Britain, Ireland and Austria. The delivery costs vary from country to country.
Convincing practical test
Bloom & Wild was able to confirm the good overall impression in practice. The delivery was on time and without any problems. The bouquet is delivered in a large, plain box with the florist’s logo on it. The package is filled with cards containing information about Bloom & Wild, a care guide, flower food for the first and third day and of course the bouquet itself. This is wrapped in paper and can be easily unpacked.
