Blue and yellow premiere – the first roller coaster lures visitors to the Bucklige Welt

The “Bucklbahn” in the Eis-Greissler adventure park in Krumbach went into operation at the weekend. Numerous celebrities were also looking for the thrill.

Since Saturday, it’s not just those with a sweet tooth who get their money’s worth at the Eis-Greissler-Manufaktur in Krumbach in the Wiener Neustadt district. Because for adrenaline junkies, the so-called “Bucklbahn” – Lower Austria’s very first roller coaster – has now started operating in the adventure park after months of construction. “The track is not only great fun for children from the age of three, but also a symbol of the hilly landscape of the Bucklige Welt,” say the owners Andrea and Georg Blochberger ceremonial opening and convince a few celebrities to have a party themselves. Among the first courageous passengers were ex-vice chancellor Wolfgang Brandstetter, Krumbach’s mayor Christian Stacherl, actor and author Rudi Roubinek, legendary goalkeeper Michael Konsel, ex-Miss Austria Tanja Duhovich and many other well-known guests. Pure racing bob feeling 5.5 meters high and 100 meters long is the first blue and yellow roller coaster. The fast ride – the “Bucklbahn” runs at 36 km/h – leads through a nostalgic train station with a bell tower, the new landmark of the Eis-Greissler. If that’s not enough thrill for you, you can also challenge the “Bucklbiest”. However, you should not have nibbled too much ice cream beforehand, because here you travel the entire railway line backwards.
