More than a year ago, BMW presented its electric motorcycle concept called CE 02. The model will now be marketed.
A vehicle designed for the urban environment
The model, smaller than the CE 04 unveiled by the brand in 2021, targets young people in urban areas thanks to a sleek and futuristic design.

Weighing 132 kilograms, the motorcycle can reach a top speed of 95 kilometers per hour. Featuring a USB-C port for charging devices, the vehicle can also be started without a key. It also offers three driving modes called Surf, Flow and Flash.
What level of autonomy?
In terms of autonomy, the CE 02 does less well than the CE 04. With a pair of batteries of just under 2 kWh each, for a total of 3.92 kWh, the motorcycle has a maximum range of 90 kilometers. The maximum engine power is 11 kW. As explained Electrekthis means that its actual range is likely to decrease significantly below the 90 kilometer limit if its driver is driving at high speed.
When it comes to cooldown, two options are available. With the standard 0.9 kW charger, a full charge from an empty tank takes approximately 5 hours. With the other solution, a 1.5 kW charger, this time is reduced to 3.5 hours.
Also noteworthy is that BMW’s recently unveiled ConnectedRide smart glasses will be compatible with the bike, allowing riders to see real-time data superimposed in front of their eyes through a specific display. The CE 02 will be launched at the start of the school year at a price of 7,750 euros. The 11 kW model will require an additional 1,000 euros.
