It’s official, the new head-up display signed BMW will respond to the sweet name of “Dynamic Vision”.

This is a new display system that will extend over the entire width of the windshield.

A “Dynamic Vision” display at BMW

For a few long years now, screens have taken an important place in our vehicles, even if it means sometimes replacing all (or almost all) of the physical controls. At BMW, we have just formalized a new form of head-up display, whose projection technology allows displays visible over the entire width of the windshield.

With this new display called Dynamic Vision, the driver can thus select the information he wishes to display in his own field of vision, but he can also decide to share the content with the other passengers in the vehicle.

“Hands on the wheel, eyes on the road”

In concrete terms, the information offered by Dynamic Vision is displayed directly on a dark area, located on the lower edge of the windscreen. In this way, the information previously selected by the driver will be constantly visible for the latter, as well as for the passengers.

According to BMW: This creates an extremely sharp image that is always visible across the full width of the windshield. Driving-relevant information is always available in the right place at the right time. »

As can be seen in the images, Dynamic Vision will be complementary to the HUD already existing at BMW, with information that will be displayed above the latter, facing the driver. This new system is of course an integral part of the Neue Klasse platform announced last year by the German manufacturer and should equip future 100% electric models from BMW by 2025.

The manufacturer has already planned to present new control and information elements that make up the new BMW iDrive system, in particular at the next IAA Mobility 2023, next September in Munich.
