Bob Odenkirk: Because of Corona, he was very afraid for his son

There is hardly a disease that is as unpredictable as Corona disease Covid-19. On the one hand, there are reports of over 100 year old patients who are said to have defeated the virus; on the other hand you hear again and again of young people who are hard hit by the disease. Bob Odenkirks (57, "Better Call Saul") son Nathan was also seriously ill with Covid-19, as the actor has now revealed.

His son's illness was back a few weeks ago, but "it was definitely worse than the flu," Odenkirk recalls in a video interview with talkmaster James Corden (41).

As a father, he was particularly concerned about the fact that Nathan had had to deal with asthma for many years. Covid-19 is a respiratory disease that can cause severe shortness of breath or even lung failure.

In the end, however, there were other symptoms that plagued Nathan. "He said that he had a bad sore throat and was very exhausted." In addition, the disease lasted much longer than flu.

The longer the illness lasted, the more fear his family had about him. "It was pretty bad," admits Odenkirk. However, the more time passed, the more he realized how lucky Nathan had been. "Other people find it harder."
