One lucky US fan will soon be able to dine with “Better Call Saul” star Bob Odenkirk. He’s auctioning off the meeting for a good cause.
In recent weeks, numerous stars have shown support in various ways for the screenwriters, actors and crew members affected by the Hollywood double strike. Well Many US celebrities auction off film souvenirs, meetings or even unusual services on eBay. The proceeds from the auctions should flow into a fund for those affected. There are big names like Bob Odenkirk (60), Sarah Silverman (52), Tom Waits (73), Mark Ruffalo (55) and Daniel Radcliffe (34).
An expensive dinner with Bob Odenkirk
“Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” star Odenkirk teams up with comedian and actor David Cross (59). The winner of the auction, which runs for another week, can look forward to a personal dinner with the two of them in Los Angeles or New York. The highest bid, which is likely to rise significantly, is currently 9,300 US dollars or the equivalent of around 8,700 euros.
Silverman and Maggie Gyllenhaal (45) have agreed to 20-minute Zoom calls, a Hulk figure signed by Ruffallo is being auctioned and the singer and actor Tom Waits is offering a felt hat that he wore and signed. The Duffer brothers, the minds behind the Netflix hit “Stranger Things”, have signed a poster of the series, “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe and Weird Al Yankovic (63) have signed a Hawaiian shirt.
But it can also be more unusual. Actress Natasha Lyonne (44) would like to help solve the “New York Times” crossword puzzle via Zoom. John Lithgow (77) paints a dog watercolor based on photos and Adam Scott (50) walks a four-legged friend for an hour in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Lena Dunham (37) invests up to five hours in a mural in a fan’s home and Busy Philipps (44) attends a pottery course with the winner.
