Ming-Na Wen and Temuera Morrison returned to the “controversy” caused by the presence of space vespas in the third episode of the Star Wars series “The Book of Boba Fett”.

Is it a Star Wars series or a variation of Power Rangers? This was essentially the question that many fans asked themselves following the broadcast of the third episode of the Book of Boba Fett, offered every Wednesday on the Disney + platform.

The presence of neon-colored Vespas mounted by the young mercenaries recruited by the former bounty hunter has led to many reactions on social networks, between good-natured mockery and a real flood of discontent. A bad buzz therefore, which prompted the main performers of the series, Ming-Na Wen (Fennec Shand) and Temuera Morrison (Boba Fett), to speak.

On the sidelines of a panel organized by the Association of American Television Critics (TCA), Ming-Na Wen thus defended the presence of these Vespas, emphasizing the homage paid by this scene to the cinema of George Lucas:

“It’s a tribute to the things George Lucas has always loved, from Mods 60s (Editor’s note, name given to trendy young people of the time) to whom his film American Graffiti paid tribute. And at the same time it allows us to discover new things about Tatooine.”

Agreeing that it is not possible as an artist to please everyone, Temuera Morrison, for his part, underlined the hardworking nature of the young performers of this gang. It is now up to everyone to determine whether these interventions were dictated by those responsible for the platform, or whether, on the contrary, they reflect the true convictions of the two performers.

The fourth episode of The Book of Boba Fett will air this Wednesday exclusively on Disney+.
